bah... so many things happened today, especially dinosaur (terrible lizard, but not all are terrible) exhibition at science centre. nourishing to the mind and enriching to one's life.
woke up before 0745 to see first light, then went on to prepare for dino exhibition. got my bio notes and a new notebk for the dinos. got a new refill for the G1 and a mech pencil which i also brought along.
got to the mrt by 0850, and i thought i was late. trip to cck from yck takes 32 mins. yay, i thought. actual trip, almost 42 mins, with 3 mins waiting time. how draggy... =.= anyway, hit the bio notes in the train, killing away the time =)
got to cck by 0932, and i thought i was early =.= ... wse was alrdy dere wif clarissa, don, lynette, steffie, algae n xavier. i thought that was all, but the mac across the road had more. nic, wc, foxy, sulo, gareth, tiff, shareel, victor... jus to name some la.
dino exhibit was quite long, but interesting and enriching. i didn't know that dinos could live near the south pole, nor near the north pole either. northern greenland in the US was once covered by the forests, as well as the outer rims of the north pole. how amazing. cold and dere's still trees? how nice =)
saurischians and ornithischians were the first few words of the dinosaur family tree. wow. dinos have family trees too? mass extinctions sure have their surviors for long, for them to eventually evolve into us. triassic, jurassic, cretaceous. how amazing. tyrannosaurus rex didn't meet stegosaurus, cos they were in different eras/periods (whatever u might want to refer to) - u didn't know tat till now? too bad.... hahas =D

velociraptor (fast thief) - how nice... giving this fast footed reptile some uncouth name, jus cos it steal eggs from someone else's nest? eww... u didn't know this too? aww... too bad XD.
anyway, he lived in the cretaceous period in mongolia (onli dere? no la! jus cos scientists cant identify doesn't mean dere is only one species since it's so ancient!) that's like 83~70mya la!
btw, jurassic park actually had this guy drawn up wrongly...

protoceratopidae (frilled lizards) - well well well... i guess triceratops had to fall into this category? (nah. triceratops went into another category in the late cretaceous period) protoceratops were from the early cretaceous period. they evolved yes, but they were not that close after all. different family, different genus, but still the same order. yes, they're ornithischian (go read up if you're still blur. here's a tip, bird-hips)
this guy lived in the early cretaceous period, which means that it didn't meet any velociraptor at all, and no t-rex.
psittaacosaurus (parrot lizards) - hmm... how shld i start on this? ...
ok. they had parrot-like beaks, bipedal, herbivorous (leaf shaped teeth, like the scissors) and had a special bone. the "rostral"
one of 4 branches of infraorder of ceratopsia, marginocephalia, ornithischian.
living in early cretaceous period, mainly mongolian area, no t-rex too =)
btw, sue is the largest t-rex found, in near complete form of fossils. how nice. it's "friend", stan is also dere, closer to the exit tho.

ok. i took a break at 1215 to have meal near the mac area at cck mrt. back at dinos' area 1450. just a short walk from the cck mrt. i'm left with nic n me, n she has to go at 1600. eww. a little sad, bt nevertheless, we re-walked the dinos trip and i lost my G1 on the way. eww i hate losing things... anyway, i took much more pics n 1600 came.
left at 1700. how nice. 3 shots in a day XD that's 10-bucks-for-3 for a 30-bucks-for-3. hahas =) learnt quite some stuff, although didn't have much to spend on the pathway to the omni. dere's many tings interesting at the science centre. i ought to check it out some other day =)
oh ya... dere's still REAL run, and i'm still here. dun be sad if i'm not dere k? cos i dun even noe if the first bus is fast enough to reach dere before u guys start running at the start-line. (and you know who you are... dun be too sad if i'm not dere when it starts =)
